I have always wished for a museum that's solely about beautiful soles and yes to my discovery there does exist such a museum in Toronto, Canada called the Bata Shoe Museum. The great news is, even if I can't hop on a train or catch a plane I can click on this astonishing link batashoemuseum and within seconds I'm experiencing everything and anything about soles. Hmmm, maybe Viktor and Rolf's sole creation below for Spring'09 will be soon be on display!

A sole museum, how fun. Ok, it wouldn't be fun for everyone, but those who wouldn't enjoy it would be missing out on something great.
The sole in the pic looks like it would be almost reminiscent of the 20's, because it has it's own flapper dress on the heel. :-)
We've got a sole museum too in France, in Romans-sur-Isère, but unfortunately there is no website available which is a very French attitude! I plan to visit it in January and meet the museum curator. Can you believe I've never done it before!
A shoe museum...I would never leave...I would be the old crone living in the basement.
